Covid-19:  What it Means for Grace’s Christian Education

Navigating the “new normal” in our Covid-19 world has been a challenge for everyone.  The priority of the Christian Education Team at Grace on Main continues to be the safety and well-being of our children and families.
We are committed to moving forward in the most responsible and safest way possible.  To this end, the Christian Education Team is implementing a phased approach to reopening kids’ ministry and adult small groups.

Preopening Phase

In our Preopening Phase, we are communicating directly with our staff, teaching volunteers, and families.  Also, we are preparing our physical space for future use by following current recommendations and resources from the CDC.

Phase 1

Once our building opens on May 31st, we will be in Phase 1 of our plan.  In Phase 1:
There will be no Kids’ Ministry Classes or Adult Sunday School Classes on site.  All of these classes will continue to be held virtually.  For more information on joining one of our small group classes, please contact Holly Smith ( or Cindy Lanning (
Two separate rooms will be available during worship service for necessary diaper changes or feedings of infants/toddlers by their parents/guardians if the need should arise.  We can only allow one family in each room.
Parents/Guardians may consider alternating attendance to live services.
We have included a few resources for you (see below) that might help answer any questions you have.  Please do not hesitate to contact us directly with any further questions or concerns.
