Raising Grace Kid’s Ministry

Nurturing faith. Growing in love.

Raising Grace Kid’s Ministry exists to equip children to grow in faith and knowledge of the Bible. We aim to take children beyond surface-level understanding and guide them into Christ-activated lives. Grace on Main’s intergenerational community of faith is here to love, support, teach, and encourage children. We recognize children are not only the future church, but a vital part of the church in the present, also.

Sunday School is available from 9:15-10:15 am for all kids and youth, newborn - seniors in high school.  The nursery (0-3 years) and Sprouts (PreK 3 and potty trained-Kindergarten) classes are also available through the entirety of the worship service. Our Saplings class (1st-5th grades) joins the larger congregation for the beginning of the worship service and is dismissed to Children's Church midway through the service. All classes are designed to present the Gospel in an age-appropriate and engaging manner. Our classes include a Kid's Worship Time with singing, dancing, and instruments, as well as a Lesson Time which includes group prayer, Scripture and application, games, and crafts.

In striving to create the safest environment for our children, our classes are taught by a combination of staff, paid workers, and volunteers. Everyone working or volunteering with our children and youth has been background-checked and completed training programs with the Director of Family Ministries.

 Seeds (0 – 3 years old)

The Seeds class introduces the children to Jesus with age-appropriate lessons. The children learn that God’s love is amazing!

Sprouts (PreK3-Kindergarten)

Building on teaching from the Seeds class, the Sprouts class helps children learn how to reflect God’s character in themselves.
Children learn they can play an active role in the world by loving like Jesus.

Saplings (1st-5th grades)

Building on Sprouts teaching, the Saplings class helps children grow in their knowledge of the Word of God.
The children will explore the meaning of faith, discover what faith looks like in action, and be introduced to the core doctrines of Christianity. The children will seek to answer the questions: What’s different about the Christian’s life?

What do Christians believe? What does the Bible teach and why does it matter?
Children are encouraged to take an active role in their faith.
