Worshipful

Join us for Summer Sunday Night Worship!

We are going to be trying something new this summer with a simple Sunday night service in addition to our regular morning worship time. The service will run from 6pm-7pm, June 14 to August 30.

The idea of this service is to have a Sunday night service specifically for people who are not able to join us for worship on Sunday mornings: sports families, shift workers, perhaps even people with disabilities that prevent them from coming on Sunday mornings.

A few characteristics of this service:

  • Kids stay in the service. The service will be intentionally inclusive of them, involving all ages throughout.
  • The liturgy will be simpler overall to reduce demands on volunteers and staff, and the service will be a bit shorter than the morning service.
  • We will sing a mix of hymns from the morning service together with simplified worship choruses that can be played on guitar (hint—you are welcome to bring a guitar or other acoustic instrument).
  • The sermon and Scriptures will be exactly the same as on Sunday morning.
  • The overall feeling of the service will aim to be more participatory and a bit more casual than the morning service, in large part to accommodate and engage the children who will be participating in worship.
  • The service ends with ice cream outside (weather permitting).

Do you know someone who would like to be able to worship with us, and yet who cannot attend on Sunday morning? Do you know families who would like an opportunity to worship together as a family and to meet other families? Invite them to Summer Sunday Nights!
